Dr. Catherine B. Marcum, MD, FAAD

Catherine Marcum, MD, FAAD, was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology from the University of Kentucky. She then received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2005.

Dr. Marcum completed her internship in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis before continuing her residency training in Dermatology at the University of South Florida. She served as a Chief Resident of Academic Conferences during her last year of residency.

Dr. Marcum has practiced in both Lakeland, Florida and Louisville, Kentucky in private practice focusing on medical dermatology, cutaneous surgery, and cosmetic procedures. She joined Academic Alliance in Dermatology in October 2011 after she and her family returned to Tampa. Dr. Marcum is board certified in Dermatology, and she enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Her main focus is medical dermatology. She has a special interest in skin cancer screening, prevention, and treatment along with the management of common dermatologic conditions such as acne and psoriasis. Dr. Marcum also enjoys performing cosmetic procedures.
