David A. Lam, MD, FAAD, FASMS David Lam, MD is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Society for Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He focuses on medical and surgical dermatology specializing in Mohs Micrographic surgery for skin cancer. Dr. Lam has excelled at every phase of his education and has always been at the top of his class throughout his scholastic career. He was valedictorian of his high school class in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and graduated cum laude from Western Kentucky University with a degree in chemistry and biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, graduating fourth in his class with summa cum laude distinction. Dr. Lam completed his internship in internal medicine and a dermatology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. His intensive clinical training focused on medical and surgical dermatology in a fast- paced teaching hospital setting as well as comprehensive clinical practice. He excelled in every phase of his training and during his final year of his residency, was elected to the position of chief resident for the Department of Dermatology. Dr. Lam is a highly skilled surgeon and clinician, and he is dedicated to providing superior patient care in a comfortable clinical setting. His outstanding staff ensures that all patients receive comprehensive and compassionate treatment each and every time they visit. Dr. Lam lives in Clearwater with his wife and in his free time enjoys wakeboarding, ocean kayaking and playing tennis daily. He also spends time cultivating his passion for photography and music.
