AAD recognizes that research studies are fundamental in the development of new drugs and generic alternatives of established drugs. Our Clinical Research Department currently performs Phase 1, 2, & 3 studies and conducts post marketing studies mainly focusing in the area of dermatology, but also expanding in the areas of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, wellness and skin infections.

The principal investigators in our research program are Panos Vasiloudes, MD, PhD and Susan Malane, DO, along with several other doctors who on occasion may be leading the program.

In establishing our research program, we are working with international renowned companies such as PAREXEL, Pfizer, and Aventis who are leading the introduction of brand new medications as well as generic equivalents.

The above program is based in our South Tampa and Town & Country offices as well as in our newly opened Brandon office. We are privileged to have Randy Banks, PA-C and Heather Scull, PA-C as sub-investigators who have tremendous experience in coordinating clinical studies. We are pleased to expand our research TEAM with the addition of Leslie Quinn who acts as our clinical research coordinator.
