FAQ: Laser Hair Reduction: Candela GentleMax Pro Laser
Using Alex 755 and ND:Yag 1064 Laser light systems, the laser light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles which permanently reduces the production of hair. Hair follicles which were not producing hair at the time of treatment or hair which has no color (white and blonde) will not be destroyed. The hair follicle must be active in order to be damaged by the laser light. For this reason, a series of treatments will be required to damage all of the active hair follicles.
Your skin is protected with a Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) immediately before each laser pulse. This cooling spray provides both protection and comfort during treatment, offering treatment with minimal side effects. GentleMax Pro Laser will be adjusted according to the color, thickness, and location of your hair being treated as well as your skin tone.
Frequently Asked Questions about laser hair removal:
Q: What body areas can I get treated?
A: Any area, except around the eyes. The underarms, legs, back, bikini line, face, neck, arms, abdomen, etc… can all be treated. Just ask.
Q: What are the treatments like?
A: A wand-like hand piece will be moved over the skin, with a cooling system, which mists the skin during each pulse.
Q: What should most people expect after treatment?
A: Most people experience some mild redness and tenderness in the treated area shortly after treatment. This does not interfere with normal activities and usually subsides within a day. In some cases, the redness may last longer but will still be mild and temporary.
Q: What hair types and colors are treatable?
A: Typically darker hair responds the best. Please use our free consultation to determine the services that are best for you.
